Class Description:
This is a rigorous course meant for students ready to earn their third high school language credit. Successful completion of Spanish 2 is a pre-requisite, and transfer students will need to complete a placement test prior to registering.
We use comprehensible input-based model to use the language, not simply learn grammar. We will acquire high frequency words and phrases by reading and listening to stories, talking about ourselves, and seeing the words used in context, while exploring grammar in culture-related contexts. Students will complete about 3.5 hours of independent work each week, and are expected to come to class ready to participate actively.
